Target Person Profile:

Mariana is 30 years old and a single mother of four children. She works as a daycare teacher but feels lonely despite being around a lot of people. She feels diffident around people and is unable to rely on.

Problem

Away from her parents, has an unsupportive environment, and possibly has depression. She is unable to trust people due to her anxiety because she is afraid that others might judge her situation. She feels like no one would listen to her.

Solution

For divine purposes, our life on earth is challenging. (Alma 34:32) Depression can be one of the challenges we face here. With the Savior’s help, “Broken minds can be healed just the way broken bones and broken hearts are healed.” (Like a Broken Vessel By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland)

Jesus Christ knows what depression is like. (Matthew 26:39, Alma 7:11–12) He wants to help you. (Matthew 11:28, John 14:18)
